Identifying Operating System Architecture

Click any of the following listed operating systems that corresponds to the operating system type installed on your system i.e. 32-bit or 64-bit operating system. It might be possible that certain operating systems are available only in 32-bit or 64-bit architectures, and if such is the case, it will be specified.

On Windows 2000 and earlier Operating systems

Microsoft Windows 2000 and its flavors, and operating systems released prior to Windows 2000 are only available in 32-bit architecture.

On Windows XP and Windows 2003 Server Operating Systems

  • Go to Start -> Control Panel. The Control Panel window opens.
  • Double-click System icon. The System Properties window opens.
  • In the General tab under System, if x64 is mentioned before Edition, then your operating system is a 64-bit operating system else it is a 32-bit operating system.

On Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008

  • Go to Control Panel -> System and Maintenance -> System.
  • Look at the System type under system.
  • If the System type is 32-bit Operating System then your Operating System is 32-bit and you need to download 32-bit Seqrite product setup file. If the System type is 64-bit Operating System then your Operating System is 64-bit and you need to download 64-bit Seqrite product setup file.

On Windows Server 2008 R2

Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 Operating System is available in 64-bit only.

On Windows 8 and Windows 8.1

  • Go to Control Panel -> System and Security -> System.
  • Look at the System type under system.
  • If the System type is 32-bit Operating System, then your Operating System is 32-bit and you need to download 32-bit Seqrite product setup file. If the System type is 64-bit Operating System, then your Operating System is 64-bit and you need to download 64-bit Seqrite product setup file.
